As Greg Palast has noted, investigative journalism is expensive and time-consuming, and this is part of the reason why the corporate press avoids it.

Recently, I wanted to investigate a politician whom I believed had lied about his associations with Big Oil. I asked to see some emails which are public record.

For this “service” I was asked for $775.00 to cover the charge of redacting them. That is, not showing me the info asked for.

With the wealth of story and footage collected by myself and others, the decision to make a documentary was arrived at. Tentatively titled: Oil Wars: Florida Everglades.

Thank you, keep it courteous.
